Edgar A. Barnett, MD

Dr. Edgar A. Barnett began his medical career in England, practicing under the National Health Services until 1966 at which time he emigrated to Canada. He continued his medical practice in Kingston, Ontario, Canada as a certified family practitioner, Chairman of the Department of General Practice at Kingston General and Hotel Dieu Hospitals and lecturer at Queen's University.
In 1975 Dr. Barnett gave up his general practice to devote full time to the practice of analytical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. In the years that followed he became President of the Ontario Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He also held the positions of Secretary and Vice President of the American Board of Medical Hypnosis. He applied for and received the Diploma of the American Board of Medical Hypnosis. He was elected Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Over the years Dr. Barnett has given many workshops in countries such as Canada, USA, Sweden, Denmark, Holland and Australia. He has authored numerous articles that have been published in a variety of hypnotherapy journals. He is also the author of two widely acclaimed books. "UNLOCK Your Mind and be FREE!" and "Analytical Hypnotherapy: Principles and Practice".
In 1996 Dr. Barnett traveled to Budapest Hungary to co-chair a world conference on hypnosis.
Dr. Barnett still maintains an active daily practice of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He will be traveling to the USA once again in 2006 to give workshops in his newest treatment procedure, "The Rapid Reintegration Procedure." This procedure and the book he has just published are expected to create a lot of interest in the hypnotherapy community. It is already receiving great reveiws.
